Vanguard has very strict requirements that need to be met in order to be considered for "employment" as a driver. Once again, Vanguard must stress that the dashcam services offered here are for a virtual simulation game on the PC.
By applying and "working" for Vanguard you must understand that there is no real-world currency involved, to be earned, or exchanged. By driving online using the Truckers' MP mod while in the Vanguard group, you will be doing so solely for the enjoyment of the game. In fact, unlike virtual trucking companies which at least have the benefit of tracking progress and other such features, Vanguard will have no such benefits.
Those who drive for Vanguard should be doing so because they enjoy driving realistically and following the traffic laws and in-game rules. They should enjoy helping make the in-game driving environment better by collecting evidence of rammers, blockers, and other such trolls using screen capture and recording software and submitting said evidence via the Truckers' MP main website reporting system
If you feel you can still enjoy being a part of Vanguard though it may be thankless sometimes, please read on to see the requirements that need to be met. After the requirements section you will find the application form and instructions on where to submit the form upon completion.
**It should be noted that an applicant should possess the required knowledge outlined here. Unfortunately, do to current limitations in training Staff, Vanguard Dashcam Services will not take drivers inexperienced with operating recording software. In addition, those drivers who might otherwise be eligible but require training in just one aspect will also, unfortunately, have to be declined, as current conditions require individuals experienced and able in all aspects of the position.
In Order To Be A Vanguard A Prospective Driver MUST:
Be able to speak and write English fluently.
Be of 18 years of age or older.
Have a clear ban history as an active member for at least 4 months. (A link to Truckers' MP public profile showing ban history will be required.)
Be Able To Record Smooth (30FPS-60FPS) video footage and be able to upload clips of said footage to a video sharing website. Vanguard Drivers must be able to provide a working and clear link for evidence to be used by the Truckers' MP Administration. Applicants will be tested on this. They will need to record a short drive on the server with a member of the Vanguard hiring staff, upload the footage to YouTube or similar video sharing website, and provide the link to said Vanguard staff member. If the video is clear, at the required FPS, then the applicant will pass.
Have complete knowledge of the Truckers' MP basic in-game rules, and specific rules relating to the Scout (Skoda) Car and its use. Applicants will be tested using a few true or false questions about the Truckers' MP rules.
Have complete knowledge in the use of the Truckers' MP Website reporting system. Applicants are expected to provide a link to a report they submitted in the past that was accepted by Truckers' MP administration. If the applicant has not filed a report, they will be administered a short true and false test about the Truckers' MP reporting system's use.
Be able to follow traffic laws and never take the Scout Car above 140 KPH. Applicants will need to participate in a short road test with a Vanguard hiring staff member. The road test will be administered at the same time as the recording ability test. The applicant and Vanguard instructor will drive from an origin city to a destination city. During this drive the applicant will be observed to make sure they follow all of the in-game rules as well as the general traffic laws. Cautious, defensive, safe, and most importantly, those who use common sense and are courteous to other drivers, especially truck drivers who require more room are very valued here. Sloppy, casual, or otherwise inept drivers need not even consider applying. How smoothly you operate the Scout car at all times is imperative for representing Vanguard Dashcam Service in a positive light, and for securing a position as a Vanguard Driver. Take pride in your driving, be kind to the other road users, and obey the traffic laws, and keep the speed to 140 KPH, and you might qualify.
